Welcome! Thank you for visiting.

While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. ~Dorothea Lange

Greg and Morgen

So if you're gonna end a photo season with style- this was the way to do it!
Greg and Morgen are a vibrant, super fun couple who I am honored to have as friends.
They are not only crazy good looking, but they are both so gracious and sincere and their spirited love for each other is contagious!
I hope you can tell from these pictures how fun they are and how much they light up the world around them. You seriously can't spend time with them, without laughing!
I offer them my most heartfelt congratulations on their engagement and blessings for an amazing future full of hope and new memories!
Cheers!

Baby belly

There is nothing quite like it, is there?
I know I do not always have super positive things to say about pregnancy, but the end result is so worth it and just seeing that belly bump can bring so much joy and happy anticipation! New life is an amazing thing!
In this case, Sharon and Mark have waited for a loooooong time for Cole.
There was lot's of faith and hardship, but now he is almost here!
For that reason, this shoot was especially meaningful for me and I hope you enjoy the light in Sharon's face as much as I did!
Congratulations, friends! I can't wait to pinch his cheeks.....

Sweet little Sadie Grace, whose arrival was long awaited by her beautiful family.....
She is just as gorgeous and laid back as I expected- not at all bothered by the big black camera with flashing lights....
Congratulations, Finn family!
Sofia, you are going to be the best big sister and I hope you can teach our own Lily girl how to do it so well! Don't worry- once you get used to sharing all the attention, you will be in heaven with your new partner in crime!

Blake and Heather's victory over hurricane Irene!

Yes it's true! Heather and Blake got married only hours before hurricane Irene- and just to clarify- we were not upstate NY for the whole thing. We went as close as we could get..... into one of the evacuated Burroughs of NYC.

I think that should give you a good picture of how crazy cool these guys are!

I had the privilege of capturing their day with my fabulous sister-in-law, and fellow photographer, Elizabeth of  http://elizabethannphotography.org/ (who was just insane enough to fly into the eye of the storm and join me from safe, dry, CO) Thank you to my little bro, niece and nephew for letting her come!

BUT can I tell you how much we enjoyed this experience??

Blake and Heather are not just crazy cool, they are full of strength and beauty that I hope you see in these pictures.
Their love for each other, family and friends was inspiring and it truly was an honor to be a part of their day.

Eric and Kristen's wedding

The whole day started at the parent's of the bride in a home built by her father and grandfather in the town where he grew up.....
 So beautiful!
That kind of heritage is so hard to come by in our culture and it was just the beginning of a very special day.
Eric and Kristen are a special couple-
definately brought together by God and surrounded by family and friends who truly love them.
They were kind, generous and thoughtful in every way,
and their adoration of each other and Jeusus, was not only evident but a blessing to all of us able to be a part of their day.

First wedding of the season!

It was such a beautiful pleasure to be part of Dan and Christine's day.
They are both very special people and there wedding was nothing less.
Not only was the day full of fun (LOVE those purple shoes!) family and good friends, but it was also full of God's presence.
It was such an honor to be a part of all those special moments.
New York is at a loss to have you both leave, but look out Florida.....
Here come Mr. and Mrs. Norris!!
