Mike and Lisa

It was truly an honor to be able to photograph this wedding....

The Meibauer's and Haffner's are both very special families.

Lisa with her big and beautiful heart met her- now husband, a true man of honor, serving our country- through Inheritance of Hope ,  an organization that serves families who have a parent with a life threatening illness. Mike was attending one of their retreats with his family and Lisa was a volunteer. 

Divine providence. 

Jesus can truly bring joy in the midst of confusing and painful circumstances!

The confidence in God these families and couple share is truly inspiring.

I love being able to shoot weddings- but this went above and beyond that. 

I felt like I was able to be a part of something orchestrated from heaven. 

I'm glad to be able to share with you some images from their wedding and I hope you feel the magnitude of the day like I did!

Lisa and Mike- I wish you all the very best as you continue this journey together. What a legacy you have and what a legacy you will leave behind!

Bumps to Blessings

When I was first pregnant with Lily and shortly after she was born- I felt like a duck out of water. I had never felt more inadequate or overwhelmed in my life! I had so many questions about every aspect of parenting- the before: what to prepare, what would labor be like, what should I expect to be feeling... to the after: eating, sleeping, nursing, clothing, bathing.... I could go on and on.

If you are a mom or a dad, I'm sure you can relate!

One of my dear friends, who is amazingly gifted with children and has recently become a nurse is starting a concierge survive- so to speak, via website, for pregnant moms or just parents in general. It's a one stop shop for all your questions and can hook you up with almost anything you might need or just need to know! 

Bumps to Blessings! I love that name because it just emphasizes the miracle of it all.... what started as that bump on my front (2x now) have definitely become two of my greatest blessings!

Chelsea is an amazing woman! I cannot say enough about her and her abilities, talents and professionalism. She is the woman you want on your team when you are headed into the brave new world of parenting!

Sadie Grace

As a very fitting beginning to this years photo's, after having a baby of our own....
I was blessed to be a part of Sadie's christening.
The Finn's are a very special family, always so gracious and warm and I am honored to have been at both their beautiful girl's special days and to see them dedicated to God.
Poor Sofia had a double ear infection.... that's why she is not her usual smiley self in these pictures, but still just as gorgeous!

Greg and Morgen

So if you're gonna end a photo season with style- this was the way to do it!

Greg and Morgen are a vibrant, super fun couple who I am honored to have as friends.

They are not only crazy good looking, but they are both so gracious and sincere and their spirited love for each other is contagious! 

I hope you can tell from these pictures how fun they are and how much they light up the world around them. You seriously can't spend time with them, without laughing! 

I offer them my most heartfelt congratulations on their engagement and blessings for an amazing future full of hope and new memories!

Baby belly

There is nothing quite like it, is there?

I know I do not always have super positive things to say about pregnancy, but the end result is so worth it and just seeing that belly bump can bring so much joy and happy anticipation! New life is an amazing thing!

In this case, Sharon and Mark have waited for a loooooong time for Cole. 

There was lot's of faith and hardship, but now he is almost here!

For that reason, this shoot was especially meaningful for me and I hope you enjoy the light in Sharon's face as much as I did!

Congratulations, friends! I can't wait to pinch his cheeks.....

Sweet little Sadie Grace, whose arrival was long awaited by her beautiful family.....

She is just as gorgeous and laid back as I expected- not at all bothered by the big black camera with flashing lights....

Sofia, you are going to be the best big sister and I hope you can teach our own Lily girl how to do it so well! Don't worry- once you get used to sharing all the attention, you will be in heaven with your new partner in crime!
